Members – we need your opinions!
Sustainable Development are very much a buzz word mentioned a lot in parliaments and political agendas throughout the world. One of the most prominent subjects that is being heralded in discussions at present are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) – also known as the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a group of 17 goals to promote economic and social development in a way that doesn’t compromise the needs of future generations. These are currently being discussed by the United Nations, and are due to be finalised this coming September. The goals address issues such as poverty, hunger and gender inequality amongst others and the aim is for all member states to achieve them by 2030. As part of our advocacy work we want to find out what our members think about this issue. Our Faith & Policy team have compiled a questionnaire for members across the world. The responses will be used to inform our statement to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) 2016.
